2025 starting with a bang for the Fisher Owners Association.   The Fisher 55th Anniversary was a resounding success and I would like to offer my sincere thanks to Geoff Brown, our Vice Commodore, who organised all of it.    A large number of Fishers booked to joined, including a fleet from the Dutch Fisher Club,  boats from France, Belgium and Germany plus members from Norway as well as the UK of coure  It was wonderful seeing our Dutch friends again.

Wight Mistress has been in use all through the winter but April and May was spent servicing all the bits that needed it.    We have managed to get away for a few days at a time, however our diary seems to just fill up when we are not looking.    Back from one holiday,  off to the funeral of our beloved retired Rear Commodore Southwest and West, Bryan Sautelle-Smith in Cornwall,  F55, off to the Caribbean, sailing for 2 weeks and of course the preparations of this new site and also the AGM in November.

Last year Barbara and I went (by car) to Holland in September to attend the Fisherclub Nederlands southern rally at Hellevoetsluis. We did consider taking Wight Mistress but we had an important baby-sitting duty for our youngest granddaughter immediately after the rally, and even Wight Mistress wasn't fast enough to get home in the short time needed.

Finally, I want to say a huge thank you to your Committee for all their hard work behind the scenes and I look forward to the continuation of an exciting and busy 2025 and an exciting 2026

Happy Fishering
